STPPS Receives ACT Professional Learning & Growth Award

We are excited to announce that the St. Tammany Parish Public School System has been selected as the winner of the inaugural ACT Professional Learning and Growth Award for Louisiana!

The selection process was a careful analysis by data experts who examined the ACT testing performance of all public and charter schools in the state, with the finalists being determined to have had the greatest average score growth from 9th grade to 11th grade. The St. Tammany Parish Public School System further stood out to ACT for a number of reasons including outstanding commitment to student achievement, continuous professional learning, harboring a strong culture of collaboration, and the impact made by their establishment of a District ACT Instructional Leadership Team.

As part of this award, STPPS will receive $2,500 in ACT Professional Development credits and $500 student scholarships for two graduating seniors! The winners of the scholarships are Kameron Land of Slidell High and Alexander Dominach of Fontainebleau High. Both of these young scholars have proven themselves to be committed to academic growth and we are proud to have them representing our district and receive these awards!
