STPPS Earns Second Place Overall in State Fitness Meet

St. Tammany Parish Public Schools (STPPS) is proud to celebrate our team’s outstanding performance at the 2026 Louisiana State Fitness Meet, where they earned 2nd place overall!

Congratulations to the participating athletes:

  • Benjamin Bearden (Tchefuncte Middle)
  • Deshawn Lewis (Little Oak Middle)
  • Reese Maras (Florida Avenue)
  • Lillian Young (Pine View Middle)

A special congratulations to Lillian Young, who captured 1st place in the girls’ division for the second consecutive year.

We also extend our appreciation to Sarah Murphy of Little Oak Middle for representing STPPS as team coach and supporting our students throughout the competition.
