STPPS Awarded for Excellence in Financial Reporting

For the 36th consecutive year, St. Tammany Parish has been honored with the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting by the Association of School Business Officials (ASBO International) and the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA of the US & Canada).

The recognitions presented at the February Committee As a Whole meeting are given for excellence in the financial reporting and accountability in the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR).

Both awards entail a thorough examination of financial reports by an outside team made up of professional auditors and financial experts. Recognition is reserved for only those applicants who meet the requirements for program guidelines such as transparent financial reporting.
