Slidell High Awarded Rachael Ray Foundation ProStart Grow Grant!

Congratulations to Slidell High for being awarded The Rachael Ray Foundation ProStart Grow Grant! The school is one of only forty-eight high schools in the country to receive this prestigious award. 

Slidell High’s ProStart program, taught by Rachel Lewis, will receive a $5,000 grant from the Rachael Ray Foundation and the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation to further expand opportunities with new equipment, technology, and curriculum enhancements.

ProStart prepares students for careers in the culinary industry by offering hands-on experience and industry-aligned skills. It is one of several Career and Technical Education programs available to students across St. Tammany Parish Public Schools.
