Krewe Du Kidz Family Event and Pre K/Early Childhood Application Launch
Parents/caregivers of young children are invited to attend the STPPS Krewe Du Kidz family event to get information and resources from a variety of community partners and assistance applying for STPPS Pre K and other childcare centers in our community. Krewe Du Kidz will take place at the Treen Technology Center at 2024 Livingston Street, Mandeville on Tuesday, February 18, 2025. Families can attend anytime between 5:00 - 7:00 p.m.
Krewe Du Kidz will have activities for kids, including story time, face painting, and a Mardi Gras theme photo opportunity. There will also be king cake to enjoy!
Parents/caregivers can apply in-person at the Krewe Du Kidz event for Pre K or Early Childhood for the 2025-2026 school year when applications go live on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. Families not attending the Krewe Du Kidz event can apply online by visiting stpsb.org/PreK.
Families will also be able to get information about options and apply for tuition assistance for children ages birth to five years old at participating Head Start and childcare centers in our community. Families not attending the Krewe Du Kidz event can get information by visiting www.ReadyStartStTammany.com.

Pre K Application Information
STPPS Early Childhood Coordinators will be available at the event to assist you with the application process. Please bring a copy of the child’s birth certificate, a copy of the child's social security card, and three proof of residency documents to complete the application process.
To qualify for STPPS Pre K Program at no cost, a child must be 4 years old by September 30, 2025, meet income requirements, and register online for school within the attendance boundary of your physical address. For more information, visit stpsb.org/PreK.
