Courtney Milam Named 2023 Louisiana Exemplary Educator

We are proud to announce that our very own Courtney Milam of Lakeshore High has been named a 2023 Louisiana Exemplary Educator! Courtney is one of only eight educators across the state to be recognized by the Louisiana Department of Education for this award which honors and spotlights exceptional teachers, teacher specialists, and school leaders who exemplify Louisiana’s education profession.

Courtney has been a member of the STPPS team since 2012, and has worked at Lakeshore High for the entirety of her time with us where she was named the Lakeshore High 2022-2023 Teacher of the Year, has been recognized as a PTSA Educator of Distinction, has been a member of numerous extracurricular school clubs and activities, and has been a leader on her school’s campus and for the district.
