Congratulations to Folsom Junior High for Being Named a Louisiana Comeback Campus
The Louisiana Department of Education (LDOE) recognized 41 schools as Louisiana Comeback Campuses. St. Tammany Parish Public School System is thrilled to announce Folsom Junior High School is one of those 41 schools.
Louisiana Comeback Campuses are schools that made significant gains in both math and English language arts since the COVID-19 pandemic and two historically active hurricane seasons.
Former STPPS Superintendent and current LDOE Assistant Superintendent Trey Folse joined Superintendent Frank Jabbia, District 4 School Board Member Kalinda Fauntleroy, and Principal Amy Barrow on a learning walk to tour Folsom Junior High and visit classrooms to engage with students and teachers.
“We are extremely proud of the teachers, students and administrators of Folsom Junior High,” said Superintendent Frank Jabbia. “They have overcome the hurdles presented by the pandemic and are showing strong progress across the board.”
A Louisiana Comeback Campus Banner was presented to Principal Amy Barrow at the end of the learning walk. STPPS congratulates and thanks the students, staff, and families of Folsom Junior High for all of their hard work.
