11 STPPS Students Named National Merit Semifinalists
We are proud to announce that eleven St. Tammany Parish Public School students have been named 2025 National Merit Semifinalists by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation.
These students, who are ranked among the highest performing high school students in the state and the top one percent in the nation, will compete for prestigious National Merit Scholarships later this school year.
The semifinalists are Octavio Combellas-Jaimes, Addison Mahony, and David Zhong of Fontainebleau High; Peyton Lerille of Lakeshore High; Lindsey Daigre, Isabelle Haley, Olivia Rogge, and Elijah Wirtz of Mandeville High; Andrew Rodriguez and Rocky Valencia of Northshore High; and Camden Pichon of Slidell High.
175 STPPS students have been recognized as National Merit Semifinalists over the last fourteen years.
“To say we are honored and proud to have these eleven scholars in St. Tammany schools would be a massive understatement,” said Superintendent Frank Jabbia. “This achievement is a testament to their hard work and dedication, and we look forward to having these students represent our district.”
