Classroom Assistance for Atypical Behaviors (CAAB) Team

The CAAB Team is comprised of a school psychologist, two special education teachers, a mental health care provider, a speech pathologist, an educational analyst and paraprofessionals who offer assistance for students with autism and related disabilities.   CAAB uses systematic methods of observation and data collection to analyze students' behaviors and make recommendations for intervention. CAAB liaisons assist teachers in completing functional behavior analyses and creating behavior intervention plans using research-based practices and procedures.  CAAB stresses the use of positive behavior supports and proactive strategies for increasing appropriate behaviors in the school setting.
