All buses and other vehicles owned and operated by this school system shall be inspected for safety by the assigned driver and the person in charge of Transportation on a regular basis.

The Transportation supervisor shall develop and maintain a safety inspection record to be filled out and signed by the individual conducting the inspection. All defects noted by local or state inspectors shall be remedied immediately.

Using the appropriate form, every driver is required to promptly report all accidents involving district owned vehicles involving death, injury, or property damage to the appropriate personnel.

All accidents or incidents regardless of the damage involved must be reported to the Transportation supervisor. Any part of the vehicle rubbing, scraping, or touching (other than bushes, overhanging limbs, etc.) other objects or vehicles in such a manner to cause damage to the vehicle or other objects constitutes an accident.
