RECRUITMENT AND HIRING OF ADMINISTRATIVE PERSONNEL

It is the policy of the Board to hire personnel based on qualifications. No person in this School System shall, on the basis of age, disability, race, color, religion, sex or national origin, be denied the benefits or be subjected to discrimination under any program or activity receiving federal assistance. This includes screening candidates for employment, retention and promotion.

Along with the other efforts of the Superintendent to recruit the best possible applicants for administrative positions, notices shall be posted in all school buildings and mailed to the local press. Announcements of administrative vacancies will be posted at least fifteen (15) days prior to the Superintendent’s recommendation to the Board. Administrative vacancy announcements shall identify the job, minimum qualifications, duties, salary range, and application deadlines and procedures.
