RATING OF EMPLOYEES WITH FAMILIAL SHIPS TO OTHERS IN THE SCHOOL SYSTEM

It is essential to program operations of the Board and School System that public employees and the public at large have confidence that said employees are not receiving partial treatment as a result of the familial relationships to others in the School System. Therefore, the St. Tammany Parish School Board adopts the following policy:

  1. No employee within this school system shall be rated in any manner as far as his or her employment performance within this system by a member of his or her immediate family.
  2. Employees who are currently being rated by a member of his/her immediate family will be subject to the grandfathering policy. However, through attrition or transfers, such cases will be dissolved.
  3. Immediate family means children, spouses of children, brothers, sisters, parents, spouse or the parent of a spouse.
