The St. Tammany Parish School Board authorizes the Superintendent to institute an emergency program for notifying schools and students in an emergency when it becomes necessary to close schools. Only official information relating to the closing of schools shall come from the Superintendent, and the Superintendent shall notify Board members, local media and the School System Educational Cable Channel and Web Site. The media shall be notified that only the Superintendent is authorized to give any information concerning the closing of a school.
