Education St. Tammany Channel 13 ::..

The Video Production Studio and Editing Suite facilitates System productions for parishwide broadcast. A broadcast studio with three cameras, an editing room equipped with seven digital editing systems, and a control room provide state-of-the-art facilities for production purposes. The studio also functions as a training facility for high school students who wish to study and intern in the broadcasting field.

The educational access channel provides opportunities to share System programs and services throughout the community. Important messages are broadcast parishwide from one location. School activities, plays, and other events of general interest are recorded and transmitted into homes throughout the viewing area.

Channel 13 broadcast programs down-linked by satellite from NASA, The Annenberg Foundation, the United States and Louisiana Departments of Education, and other educational sources. The staff of Channel 13 also produces their own shows, including Chalk Talk, Spotlight on Schools, School Board meetings, sports events, public service announcements and special programs featuring school events. In addition Channel 13 broadcasts videos produced by students from STPSB schools.
