Each year a substitute employee is chosen for recognition from each school for their outstanding performance in helping maintain continuity of learning and school services in the day-to-day operation of the School System.

From those,one is chosen as Substitute of the Year for the School System. In naming the Substitute Employee of the Year, the School System recognizes the professional capabilities, flexibility, and dedication that substitute employees bring to the job whenever called.

Vivian Huntington of Slidell High, right, has been chosen Substitute of the Year for the St. Tammany Parish Public School System. She was recognized at the May 21st School Board meeting for the honor by Human Resources Supervisor Dorable Dangerfield, left.
