End of Year Concert

Students at Pine View Middle School were provided a free concert on May 21, 2015 to celebrate what a wonderful school year we had.  Each performance took place during each grade level’s recess.

Strings Showcase Talent

Pitcher Jr. High Principal Visits 6th Graders

Pine View Middle School 6th graders were visited by William Pitcher Junior High's Principal Raphael Tillman and other Pitcher staff on Wednesday, April 22nd. The purpose of the visit was to educate the future 7th graders on what they can expect at Pitcher as well as give them the opportunity to ask questions about sports as well as electives for the next school year.

Students Enjoy Pelicans Game

Students from Pine View Middle School got to enjoy a game courtesy of their great behavior and following all the steps of PBS.   We, at Pine View, would like to thank the New Orleans Pelicans organization for such a wonderful time.

Club Day - Yoga Club

March 26th was Club Day at Pine View Middle School and there is always something going on.  In the photo above, you are witnessing just a small portion of the fun that occurs on Club Day.  This is the Yoga Club, by far one of the most popular clubs for all at Pine View Middle.

Special Birthday Gift for Principal Combs

On January 30th, Principal Diane Combs of Pine View Middle School in Covington was given a special birthday gift from her faculty, staff, and students.  Artist Jim Tweedy, who happens to be a PVMS parent, painted a beautiful mural of a tree representing the school and its students.  Each student and faculty member also contributed to the mural with a leaf made from a single thumb print.  Here we see artist Jim Tweedy and Principal Diane Combs with the wonderful masterpiece.  The quote at the bottom of the painting states, “From a small seed, a mighty tree may grow”.

Pine View Middle Holds "Buddy Bench" Dedication

Pine View Middle School held St. Tammany’s first official Buddy Bench dedication in front of students and special visitors.
The benches at Pine View Middle have a designated spot on the playground and are for those students who might be having a bad day, may be shy or sad, or for a new student who is looking to meet some new friends. When a child sits on the bench, they are inviting a friend to play.

Royce Snyder Named Pine View Student of the Year

The Student of the Year at Pine View Middle School in Covington is fifth-grader Royce Snyder.  He was chosen to represent Pine View on the basis of his outstanding academic performance, leadership, and communication skills.  He is also an active member of both the Beta Club and Student Council at Pine View Middle.

Honor Roll Breakfast

Students at Pine View Middle School were honored during an Honor Roll Breakfast that was held on Wednesday, October 22nd to recognize our student’s wonderful achievements for the first nine weeks of the 2014-2015 school year. DHH Teacher Receives $500 Grant

Cindy Featherston, DHH teacher at Pine View, was one of ten teachers in the parish to receive a $500.00 grant from First Castle Credit Union.
