Honoring Veterans

Mandeville Middle School students honored veterans by creating individual stars representing family members and friends who are veterans or currently active duty service personnel. The stars are displayed as part of a large flag created to honor all our nation’s veterans on their special day.

Exploring Engineering & Architecture with LEGOS

Grandparents & Special Friends Week

Mandeville Middle School recently held its annual Grandparents and Special Friends Week.  Enjoying breakfast together are (clockwise, L to R) Jada Johnson and Anquinell Johnson and Joy Coll, Parker Snyder, Frank Coll, and Olivia Coll.  In addition to breakfast, students and their guests also visited the MMS Fall Book Fair.

Over 2000 Food Items Collected for Food Bank

Mandeville Middle School students continue their tradition of tremendous generosity to the Samaritan Center Food Bank with a recent monthly collection of more than 2000 food items.  Last year, students contributed over 10,000 food items and plan to exceed that total this year.  Pictured at left are Chance Evans, Mr. Paul Oosterling (husband of PTA Food Drive Chair Valerie Oosterling), and Davis Martin and (front L to R ) Leah Savoy, Ella Guillory, and Emma Swider.  Pictured right with Principal Mary Hart are (L to R) Cara Rankin, Karen Gonzalez, and Kelsey Railey.

Stars of the Month

Mandeville Middle School is "Setting the Stage for Success" this year, and these students were recently recognized as "Stars of the Month" for making positive choices.

Flag Crew Trained in Flag Etiquette

Members of the Mandeville Middle School 2014-15 Flag Crew received their annual training in flag etiquette from retired former MMS Principal Joseph Fetter.  Pictured with Mr. Fetter (clockwise L to R from front) are James Geeslin, Nicholas Matthews, Kennedy Chamberlain, and Stephen Kearns. These students, along with all members of the Flag Crew, are responsible daily for raising and lowering the flag, as well as proper folding and handling of the flag.
