Foam Day Celebration

a

Students at Magnolia Trace Elementary enjoyed “Foam Day” on Monday, May 20, as a reward for doing good work and exhibiting good behavior during the last several weeks of school. The foam machine was in high gear as dozens of students played in the bubbles. The Accelerated Readers goal setters took part in the morning foam fest, and the PBIS Good Behavior students enjoyed the afternoon foam frenzy. Several other games and contests were part of the fun on the beginning day of the last week of school.

Food Service Award Recognizes Linda Wiggins

Linda Wiggins and Pat Farris

The St. Tammany Parish Public School System’s Food Service Department recognized a Magnolia Trace Elementary cafeteria worker Thursday with its annual “Heart of the Program” award. Linda Wiggins, the school’s main baker, was presented with the award by Pat Farris, Food Service Supervisor. The award is designed to recognize the valuable program contribution of a school nutrition employee who makes a difference at her school and in her community. She was commended for her willingness to help other workers, take part in nutrition education, and assist in the school’s annual food drive. She was congratulated by her Cafeteria Manager Michelle Penton and co-workers. The event took place in the cafeteria extensively decorated for Louisiana School Lunch Week.
