Little Pearl Elementary Celebrated Louisiana School Lunch Week.

The donation of picture books showing the New Orleans Saints winning the Super Bowl has proven very popular with Little Pearl students. The "World Champs" book were given to the school library by the New Orleans Saints Football Organization, much to the delight of the young fans who eagarly enjoyed looking through them.

Royal Tea Party
Mrs. Dahmer's and Mrs. Debbie's LA4 class at Little Pearl Elementary enjoy a Royal Tea Party in celebration of the Fairy Tales Unit from the Guaranteed Curriculum. The students dressed up as princesses and princes. They were served heart shaped jelly sandwiches, flower shaped cookies, and roses made from pretzel sticks and fruit roll ups.

Apples & Bananas
Ms. Kuehne's Kindergarten class performs at Little Pearl Elementary's morning meeting. The students sang "Apples and Bananas" and danced to "Tooty Ta" in front of the entire school as well as a number of parents who came in to support their child.
Zoo Field Trip
Mrs. Dahmer's and Mrs. Debbie's PreK class of Little Pearl Elementary recently enjoyed a field trip to the Audubon Zoo in New Orleans followed by a picnic on the lawn in front of the zoo.

On Veteran’s Day, the students and staff of Little Pearl Elementary moved into their new building. In honor of Veteran’s Day and Little Pearl’s third anniversary, the students, staff, and guests watched as the original flag was lowered for retirement and a new flag was raised. Nancy Osborne, LPE’s bookkeeper, is a veteran of the Civil Air Patrol and participated in the ceremony.

Students See Demonstrations
Last week the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office sent deputies to Little Pearl Elementary to demonstrate some of the roles of their officers and the equipment that they use.
All students of Little Pearl went to see what the officers brought to school.
