Black and Gold Day
Little Oak Middle School in Slidell recently benefitted from a service project conducted by the local Eagle Scout Troop #348. The troop collected gently used school uniform tops and bottoms. They donated over 100 tops and bottoms to the families of Little Oak Middle School students.
Little Oak Middle 4th and 5th grade students recently had the opportunity to hear from a published author/ illustrator. Jarrett J. Krosoczka, sponsored by the Slidell branch of the St. Tammany Parish Public Library, spoke to the students about his books, his career and the struggles that led him to his success. Mr. Krosoczka is best known for his graphic novel series about The Lunch Lady.

New Teacher Induction
Little Oak Middle School recently held a New Teacher Induction early in August to welcome and assist their new teachers and paraprofessionals.

Little Oak Middle School recently held a New Family Orientation to familiarize new students and their families with the campus. The orientation consisted of a brief overview of procedures and policies, and concluded with a tour of the school.
