Deputy Vauthier Visits Pre-K Class

Mrs. Dennis' Pre-K class had a visit from Deputy Vauthier this week.  The class is learning about community helpers and the Officer read "Officer Buckle" to her class.  The Officer also discussed with students how he helps the community. 5th Graders Start Community Service Club

Fifth Grade Students at Florida Avenue started a Community Service Club called ChampION Club-Champs In Our Neighborhoods. Their first goal was to collect items needed for the Slidell Animal Shelters wish list.  The items were delivered on Friday, December 19th.

Kindness Party

Mrs. Dennis' Pre-K  class has a kindness bear that they fill with kindness drops whenever they are kind to each other.  The class recently met their goal and had a kindness party.

Mrs. Brewer received a "Pets in the Classroom" grant.  One teacher per school is eligible for the grant.
