Into the harvest they go.

After the plants are harvested, the roots and other organic matter leftover is plowed
back into the soil for composting.

The SNAC members bring the harvested lettuce back to the cafeteria.
Into the kitchen to prepare the harvest for serving.
They carefully wash the newly harvested plants.
Again and again, the plants are rinsed and allowed to soak.
Then they mixed with carrots and croutons and sprinkled with salad dressing.
When finished, off come the gloves....
And the mixed salad is wheeled out to the dining room....
Where it is served to the harvesters....
who enjoy the produce from the garden they helped plant and raise.
Everybody enjoys a healthy, fresh-grown salad.
