Tuition Assistance for Teachers and Support Employees
(05-01-2022)
STPPS has funding to assist teachers and paraprofessionals with costs of obtaining teaching certifications for the 2022-2023 school year. Tuition assistance is available at $1,000 per course and reimbursement for the Praxis test is available for passing scores.

Tuition Assistance Eligibility
  • Teachers on an OFAT certificate seeking state certification for their current teaching position
  • Teachers seeking Reading Specialist Add-on Certification
  • Teachers seeking a certification in English as a Second Language
  • Support employees seeking a Louisiana teaching certificate in one of the STPSB areas of focus
  • Employees seeking certification or obtaining qualifications to become an interpreter
Praxis Reimbursement Eligibility
Teachers on an OFAT certificate currently teaching in a position for which they are NOT specifically certified to earn the specific state certification (passing scores only)
