2022-2023 District Calendar Updates (05-02-2022)
The 2022-2023 district calendar has been updated with Smart Start days and state testing windows.
Smart Start Days were added to the beginning of the 2022-2023 school year. One-third of students in grades Pre K-12 will report to school each day. This will be based on the first letter of their last name. August 8: Last names A-H; August 9: Last names I-Q; August 10: Last names R-Z. All students will report following their normal schedule beginning August 11.
STPPS employees and administrators requested the staggered start because they saw the benefits of students returning in small groups at the beginning of the 2020-2021 school year. Students beginning the year in small groups provides more time for students to get to know their teachers and learn school and classroom procedures and routines. It also allows more time for administrative functions including textbook distribution, issuing Chromebooks, etc.
