2021 Virtual Special Education Family Information Fair (01-07-2021)
STPPS will hold the 2021 Special Education Family Information Fair virtually Tuesday, January 26, from 9 AM to 12 PM. Parents of special education students ages birth to 22 are invited to participate.
The purpose of the event is to offer families of children with disabilities connections to Louisiana agencies and community resources. The virtual fair will feature seven live Zoom presentations with an opportunity for parents to ask questions.
9:00 – Northshore Families Helping Families
9:30 – Assistive Technology Strategies, Tips, and Tricks for ACC
10:00 – Florida Parishes Human Services Authority
10:30 – Special Needs Trust (Planning for my Child's Future)
11:00 – Tips on Feeding, Language and Learning for Preschool and Children
11:30 – D/HH Parent University
12:00 – Southeastern Louisiana University Lions Connected
Following the virtual fair portion, families can pick up resource bags filled with information from agencies and colleges. Drive-thru pick-up will be from 1-2:30 PM at the Technology Center (2024 Livingston Street, Mandeville). Please be sure to wear your mask when you pick up your bags in the drive-thru.
