#STPPSFootball Week 1
(09-06-2019)

Week 1 of the 2019 high school football season featured five 40-point scoring outbursts by STPPS teams led by Mandeville's 65-point performance in an impressive 65-38 road win at Poplarville (MS).

Crosstown rivals Lakeshore and Fontainebleau were locked in a back-and-forth battle all night until the Titans finally prevailed 48-41 to extend their regular-season win streak to 23 games.

Covington and Pearl River each put up 40 points on the scoreboard as the Lions defeated Franklinton 40-17 and the Rebels rushed passed Pope John Paul II 40-2.

Slidell led wire-to-wire for a 38-6 against Booker T. Washington. Northshore lost 41-7 at home to Dutchtown while Salmen dropped a 23-7 road game at Hammond.
