Lakeshore's Magical Season Continues
(11-24-2017)
One undefeated season came to an end and another was extended one more week Friday night.

Covington's quest for an undefeated season ended Friday as the Lions fell 38-27 at Hahnville in the Class 5A Quarterfinals. Covington senior RB Devin Brumfield rushed for 266 yards and four touchdowns in his final prep game. The Lions finished 2017 with a 12-1 record.

In Mandeville, Lakeshore's Cinderella-like season will continue as the Titans dominated Neville from start to finish. Lakeshore QB Chris Penton threw for 400 yards with three TDs, while RB Maximus Lowery tallied four rushing scores.

Lakeshore (13-0) will face the Rayne Wolves (10-2) in the Class 4A Semifinals with a date in the Superdome on the line.
