ProStart Students Participate in Chamber of Commerce Luncheon Event
Students from the ProStart culinary arts programs at three west St. Tammany area high schools took part in the September 26 “Cultural Economy Luncheon” held annually by the St. Tammany West Chamber of Commerce.
An “enticing presentation of edible delights” was on display in an award winning fashion, culinary creations by students from Fontainebleau High School, Mandeville High School and Lakeshore High School.
Music by the Fontainebleau High School Trio was provided, and local artwork featured in the St. Tammany Parish Hospital “Healing Arts Initiative” was on display.

The luncheon featured Chef Susan Spicer with a cooking demonstration and book signing. Ms. Spicer is a well-known area chef who has appeared on local and national television. In May of 2010 she was inducted into the James Beard “Who’s Who of Food and Beverage in America.”
