Abita Springs Middle School celebrated National School Lunch Week October 14th - 18th.  The theme for the week was "School Lunch across the USA," and parents were invited to join us for meals planned around specific US regions. Students participated in a variety of ways. Mrs. Wiegand's 4th graders used social studies, math, writing, and technology to create and publish menus for the week.  Cafeteria Manager, Conny Yevcinez, selected the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place menus. Winners are pictured with their menus (lef to right) Mahkai Walker-Williams, Mrs. Conny (dressed as a cowgirl for Midwest day); Lonnie Tankersley, and Haven Davis.
